Fulcrum Backs Housebuilders With New Gas Connection Rates For Under 100 – Plot Developments

Leading independent UK gas infrastructure and connections company Fulcrum today announced a new price deal on gas connections for UK housebuilders as part of a major push to support gas connection installation on developments of up to 100 plots.

New partnerships with industry investment partners mean Fulcrum is now able to offer competitive market rates on smaller and medium sized housing developments and extend its reputation for cost-effective quality established on large and commercial development contracts.

“We carried out a major survey of house builder needs in 2013 which highlighted strong demand for our gas connection services on developments of up to 100 homes if we could bring prices down – we’ve listened, we’ve acted and we delighted to be able make life easier for developers by removing past price barriers,” said Fulcrum Sales Director Richard Atkinson.

Latest government statistics show annual housing starts totalled 117,110 in the 12 months to September 2013, up by 16% compared with the year before while annual housing completions in England totalled 107,950 in the 12 months to September 2013.

“Our new pricing structure puts Fulcrum front and centre for gas connections on developments of under 100 plots where developers can also gain the peace of mind afforded by our expertise,” said Atkinson.

“Help to Buy has clearly stimulated demand and led to increasing supply from housebuilders with some commentators forecasting housing starts of up to 39 per cent by 2015. Thanks to new industry partnerships and cost-effective pricing, Fulcrum is well set to help bolster that growth via class-leading customer service on gas connections.”

Fulcrum, the only independent utility connections company covering the whole of Britain, was the first ever utility company to gain independently validated “Putting The Customer First” accreditation and received national recognition for excellence in the recent Utility Week Achievement Awards for gas utility works associated with the London 2012 Olympic Games, including the gas connection to the iconic Olympic Cauldron.
