SARACEN SMALL WORKS FAST TRACKS LONDON CHARITY PROJECT

Saracen Interiors has completed a fast turnaround office refurbishment project for international animal welfare organisation, the Brooke. The leading workplace consultant’s Small Works division provided the London-based charity with a mix of services including space planning, furniture removal, refurbishment and furniture supply.

The project was finished in just two weeks with the majority of work completed outside of office hours to minimise disruption for the charity that specialises in the care and wellbeing of working horses, donkeys and mules overseas in developing communities.

Gordon MacBean, IT and facilities manager for the Brooke, was delighted with the efficiency of Saracen’s team and the fast turnaround of all works: “I was impressed with how the project was handled from the outset as the works managers paid close attention to our budget and were prepared to put time and effort into helping us to plan accordingly, reassuring us that the full refurbishment could be delivered within the parameters we had set ourselves. The job was given full care and consideration at every level and we’re more than happy with the finished results.”

Joint managing director of Saracen Interiors, Michael Page comments: “We’re really pleased to be able to add another charity to our portfolio of clients. The Brooke carries out excellent work and our prime concern was to make sure we didn’t get in the way of that work so they could operate with a ‘business as usual’ approach. Having a dedicated small works team means that we can give projects like this the same attention as we would the larger jobs and we’re glad to see this area of the business growing.”

The Small Works division has flourished since Saracen launched it alongside Saracen Facilities and Saracen Move Management almost three years ago. In it’s second year, Saracen Small Works doubled its turnover and it is expected to hit that target again when it reaches the end of its third year.

The company is currently celebrating thirty years since its inception. Its recent clients include Coca Cola, CH2M Hill, Belvoir Lettings, Murata, YUM Restaurants, Tata Communications, TE Connectivity, Loma Systems, Gray’s Inn Chambers, Libra Group, Creature of London, Aspect Property Group, Motofix, Flight Safety, Countrywide PLC, Knight Frank, Mitie Engineering, Pizza Hut, Redrow Homes, Thames Water, Toshiba, TAG Aviation, Viatel, BAE Systems, Sue Ryder Care, North Surrey Primary Care Trust, Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospital NHS Trust.
