JACQUELINE O’DONOVAN ‘SHOCKED’ AS SHE IS NAMED PRIVATE BUSINESS WOMAN OF THE YEAR 2018 @ODonovanWaste

Jacqueline O’Donovan, managing director of O’Donovan Waste Disposal, has been honoured with the prestigious PwC UK Private Businesswoman of the Year title at this year’s UK Private Business Awards 2018. Jacqueline was recognised for her business success, along with her passion and drive to improve her industry and also for her dedication in encouraging women in business.

Known as ‘The Diamonds’, the impressive UK Private Business Awards are now in their eighth year, having been started in 2011.  The Awards are positioned to recognise success and achievement within the vast number of private businesses in the UK and are presented to the UK’s most successful private companies, entrepreneurs and management teams.

Jacqueline has been recognised for her outstanding achievements and leadership which has seen the family business O’Donovan Waste become one of London and the South East’s leading waste management companies.  The innovative waste business has seen substantial growth over the years to a turnover of over £20m, with 160 staff and a fleet of 90 lorries.

Jacqueline O’Donovan, said: “I was blown away when they read out my name as they previously announced that the nominations were so strong this year, they had extended the number of finalists.  I am honoured to be recognised by such a massive organisation like PwC. It was a nice shock on the night!”
