ANDERTON CONCRETE CELERBATES BBA CERTIFICATION FOR STEPOC @AndertonConcret

As part of Anderton Concrete’s continued commitment to producing the highest standards in product innovation, quality and performance, its industry leading Stepoc Concrete Shuttering System has recently been awarded the British Board of Agrément (BBA) Certificate 20/5774.

The independent accreditation, which is based upon rigorous national and European standards, is a reflection of Anderton Concrete’s unrivalled engineering excellence and dedication to supporting industry professionals in achieving a world-class built environment.

Providing a direct alternative to shuttered concrete, the unique Stepoc system significantly reduces installation times and associated costs to increase on-site efficiency and safety, whilst also maximising overall build quality and longevity.

The pre-cast concrete shuttering blocks weigh less than 20kg per unit and are highly-engineered and dimensionally coordinated to readily accept vertical and horizontal reinforcement.

This enables concrete to be pumped directly into the inter-connected cavities, while the system’s unique cascade design ensures smooth and consistent distribution, forcing out any air and eliminating segregation to create walls that have immense compressive and lateral strength.

Tim Fields, Technical and Development Manager at Anderton Concrete, said: “Since its launch in 1984, Stepoc has set the standard across a diverse range of sectors, from military to education, by providing a revolutionary approach to construction that cannot be replicated.

“We are extremely proud to have been awarded the BBA Agrément Certificate. It is a reflection of the continued investment and commitment we undertake as a business to ensure we deliver the very highest standards in innovation and quality, which in turn offers contractors and engineers the confidence they are specifying and installing a product that is fit for its intended purpose.”

The highly efficient method of construction combines the ease of blockwork and versatility of in-situ concrete to create a diverse range of structures, from retaining walls and swimming pools, to flood alleviation schemes and platform edges.
