The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) is pleased to announce the addition of two new members: GSS Piling Ltd and Foundation Piling Ltd.
The two new members bring with them a wealth of experience of working within the geotechnical industry, and their vast knowledge will be put to good use by the FPS as it continues to raise ever higher the standards of professionalism and safety, as well as helping create the standards and guidance of the future.
Speaking about the new Members, Steve Hadley, FPS Chair said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome both GSS Piling Ltd and Foundation Piling Ltd into the Federation. I am confident their contribution to the FPS’s many aims, and initiatives will be extremely valuable, with each company able to bring further perspective to all the Federation champions.
“The piling and geotechnical sectors face many challenges ahead, such as becoming more environmentally sustainable or addressing the ever-present and growing skills shortage. Only through a larger and more representative membership can the FPS be best able to tackle such issues for the benefit of the entire industry.”
Martin Pedley, Managing Director, GSS Piling said: “GSS is delighted to have recently joined the FPS, we see it as a great opportunity to share with and learn from the wider piling community,” and Stephen Edmondson, Managing Director, Foundation Piling Ltd said: “The whole team at Foundation Piling is delighted to join the FPS and look forward to adding our 40 years of experience to the wealth of knowledge that the federation has at its disposal”
The authoritative voice the FPS yields within the construction sector is strengthened considerably through the addition of new members, as it means the Federation can not only more fully represent the piling sector, but it also gives the Federation a wider mandate to lobby more effectively at both industry and government levels on issues such as health and safety, training, and fair payment.
