IPG Energy appoints manufacturing business leader Alex Anderson as COO to accelerate route to market of breakthrough renewable energy solution
IPG Energy is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Anderson as Chief Operating Officer. A seasoned leader with extensive experience in the automotive manufacturing sector, Anderson joins IPG Energy’s senior leadership team to drive the delivery of its fuel-agnostic, pollutant-free generator solution for hard-to-abate sectors such as construction, mining, and maritime.
Previously Managing Director at World Class Manufacturing (WCM Europe Ltd), Anderson has been instrumental in advancing operational excellence and progressive manufacturing practices. His expertise in scaling operations, production, and supply chain management, alongside his passion for sustainability, will support IPG Energy’s mission to become the go-to replacement for the diesel generator.
“Having spent my career to date as a supplier, joining an OEM means that I am effectively poacher turned gamekeeper,” Anderson remarked. “This gives me a unique perspective to harness our supply chain to achieve IPG Energy’s ambition to scale up our capabilities and deliver thousands of units by the end of the decade.”
Anderson’s appointment reflects his shared commitment to a Net Zero future. “Having a product with such a positive environmental impact is one thing, but it can’t cost the earth—literally, in sustainability terms, or figuratively, for our customers. IPG Energy has designed a product with these values at its core, using low-cost, widely available materials from increasingly circular supply chains and leveraging global manufacturing processes. Now, it’s my role to scale this vision into reality.”
