HJK Construction is proud to announce the successful completion and handover of its latest housing development in Middleton, Townley Gardens, to MSV (Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing). The 43-home scheme, delivered in collaboration with Rochdale Borough Council and supported by Homes England, marks a significant milestone in the delivery of high-quality, affordable housing in the region.
Designed for affordable rent, the development features 38 two-bedroom and five three-bedroom homes, all now fully occupied. With modern designs, high-quality finishes, and energy-efficient features, the homes provide residents with both comfort and long-term savings on energy bills.

The £9 million project received £2.8 million in grant funding from Homes England, ensuring the creation of accessible homes that directly address local housing needs. The development supports Rochdale Council’s efforts to reduce pressure on their housing waiting lists and exemplifies the impact of strong partnerships in tackling housing shortages.
To celebrate the handover, representatives from HJK Construction and MSV were joined by Cllr Daniel Meredith, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing at Rochdale Borough Council, as well as local residents, for a tree-planting ceremony on 30th April.

He is now progressing onto another HJK development, highlighting the broader social value of building affordable homes.
