Vision 2017 – The event for architects, designers, specifiers and their clients 6-7 June, Olympia London

Vision 2017 will merge architecture, design, technology and fashion, presenting new ideas, products and materials to a wide range of industry professionals. The programme and exhibition is centred around three main themes: Materials Innovations, Technological Insight and Architectural & Design Evolution. Under these umbrella topics a host of events and activities will take place, helping delegates rethink the built environment and the manner in which we can shape places and spaces.

Major architectural practices from the UK and abroad will take part in a talks programme designed to push the architectural debate in unexpected and exciting directions. Zaha Hadid Architects will unveil a new material inspired by the fashion industry for use in architecture, while Woods Bagot will demonstrate how they are rethinking interior spaces for a future dominated by the private-rented sector. From international shores, UNStudio will reveal the findings of a new piece of research that explores the impact of the circular economy on the built environment, and rising star Benjamin Garcia Saxe will reveal how sustainable architecture is being tackled in tropical climates such as Costa Rica.

The exhibitors at Vision cover a range of products, materials and solutions, including research and development into the latest software, bringing together industry leaders to discuss challenges in today’s complex market and ways to deal with changing legislation. Partnering with key professional and cultural organisations – such as the RIBA, BRE, the London Festival of Architecture and New London Architecture – the exhibition is designed to educate and inspire, with international solutions to local problems. In addition, Vision 2017 will provide a matchmaking service to help facilitate meetings between companies that can work together to create better buildings for the future.

In 2017, Vision will host a series of international partners from across Europe. Representatives from Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Latvia and the Czech Republic will exhibit at the event through a collection of pavilions, each representing a different member state. Live demonstrations and networking will provide opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with our continental counterparts.

Vision 2017 is a CPD certified event and both the Educational Programme and the exhibition are free-to-attend.
