Bruceshaw has completed two studios for the innovative London fitness brand Psycle. The first development was of Psycle’s flagship studio on Mortimer Street, and secondly a studio located in Clapham. Bruceshaw took on the combined role of Cost and Project Manager on the projects, which are now open for public use.
Psycle Mortimer Street required a 5,102 sq ft extension which spanned a four week strip out period and a fit-out time of 20 weeks. The expansion to the studio was across four floors with the introduction of three new studios.
The project began in October 2017 and was completed in December 2018.
Psycle Clapham entailed the fit out of the basement and ground floor of an existing mixed-use development with residents already living above. The development delivered a new Ride Studio and associated facilities, including a reception, changing rooms, hospitality and retail offerings. The project, which totalled 4,316 sq ft, was commissioned in January 2018 and completed in November 2018, with an enabling phase of three weeks and a fit-out period of 12 weeks.
The design team comprised of architects Brinkworth, acoustics by Paragon, and DesignID for structural elements.
