HDR|Hurley Palmer Flatt Group, the UK’s leading independent engineering consultancy has made two key appointments, Giles Korner as Head of Smart Buildings and Matthew Voaden in the role of Divisional Director of MEP.
Giles Korner’s will head up HDR|Hurley Palmer Flatt’s Smart Building Division which launched last year, and is advising clients on the potential impact of Smart Buildings on the way we live and work. With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and consultancy sector, Giles and has a huge breadth and depth of knowledge on how technology can be an enabler to overcome business challenges and bring about transformation within the built environment and workplace.
With the marketplace evolving from emphasis on the building and design to focus on its occupants and user experience, Smart Buildings and Workplace Technologies are having a significant impact on the design and operation of buildings. Giles has worked with Deloittes, The Financial Times as well as multiple KPMG Audio Visual UK project., he says:

Matthew Voaden, Divisional Director of MEP has over 17 years’ experience in the building services industry across the UK, gaining extensive technical knowledge of Mechanical and Public Health Building Services, Sustainability and Electrical Building Services.
Matthew will be focusing on developing the hospitality sector for HDR|Hurley Palmer Flatt, having worked on some of the most high profile and complex buildings in this area such as The Ned in London. Matthew Voaden, Divisional Director of MEP says:
