Woven Images is delighted to announce that they have won the Surfaces FX Award with its innovative and great looking Muse Acoustic Wall Panels.
In collaboration with renowned industrial designer Michael Young, Muse Acoustic Wall Panels were designed by sustainable material experts Woven Image with the aim to reduce reverberated noise in commercial spaces. Created by an algorithm, this ensures comfortable and productive noise levels in sectors ranging from workplace to hospitality.
The judges commented:
‘The subtle use of woven texture to create a powerful overall statement is impressive’.
Mchael Young, co-creator of the product said:
‘I believe that Muse is genuinely cutting-edge. It seems to me that an industrial office is going to take a different approach to creating a pattern than an artist or even a graphic designer. By setting up an animated algorithm we generated two-dimensional patter and freed the animation of a particular point to build the final image. In other words, we are not creating conceptual decoration but technical decoration. The finishes results look wonderfully mathematical’.
Muse Fluid, Muse Mineral and Muse Cloud are different designs in the range, all available in multiple colourways. Muse Fluid immitates the movement of the ocean, with a multitude of dots in rows like beads on a string that flows across the panel creating a wave-life effect from afar. Muse Mineral is a cross-hatch style design with diagonal line wok that becomes thicker and thinner over the panel, creating a patchwork effect. Muse Cloudy is based on a series of varying dots that converge to produce a cloud-like effect.
