A supported living development in Ashby de la Zouch is set to install an exciting new invention for housebuilders.
Specified by Willmott Dixon, BeadMaster’s innovative cover plates will be fitted in 65 new homes at Springfields.
The contractor selected BeadMaster for the £12.5 million development after trialling them at previous projects in their South West division during 2019.
The contractor has since made BeadMaster the mandated method for electric switches and sockets on all of its projects and has included the cover plates in its quality manual for installation and workmanship, The Yellow Book: Build.
Scheduled to be completed in Spring 2021, Springfields will feature BeadMaster’s Square and Rectangle cover plates in all of its one and two-bedroom apartments.
To ensure that the plasterers and electricians on site are comfortable with installing the products, BeadMaster Inventor, Pete Carter, visited the site to provide technical support.
Anthony Chadley, Managing Director at BeadMaster, said: “We are thrilled to be a part of Springfield’s project and to be providing our innovative Square and Rectangle products, which will help deliver the best results, first time, every time.
“Designed for single and double gang sockets and switches, these products can be plastered straight over, keeping the backbox clean and creating that perfect finish, which is even more sought-after when completing high-quality developments.
“We hope that the project runs as smoothly as possible and look forward to growing our relationship with Springfields and Willmott Dixon as the project progresses.”
