Bauer Technologies, a subsidiary of the BAUER Group, has been awarded the contract to construct the basement secant walls and bearing piles for a prestigious Mayfair development off Audley Square, which when complete, will provide 29 private residential units and mixed-use facilities, including gym, swimming pools and spa, as well as courtyard garden and terraces, with car and cycle parking spaces provided.
The contract, which was awarded to Bauer Technologies by Careys Civil Engineering, on behalf of Caudwell Properties, will see the company install 254 linear metres of 880/780mm secant wall (217no. male & 217no female piles); 95 no 1200mm, 1350mm and 1680mm bearing piles, of which 13no will be temporary plunge columns and 11no permanent plunge columns. Bauer will also be required to undertake pile removal and obstruction coring through an existing car-park slab to facilitate the construction of the new basement and bearing piles.

Bauer Technologies’ work on the project commenced mid-September 2020 and is scheduled to run for 7 months.
