Exyte Hargreaves are pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Tonkin as Business Development Director to the major projects business.
He is a well-known industry ambassador with vast experience in the construction and building services industries where he has delivered construction and MEP services across multiple sectors. An expert in developing and leading multi-disciplinary, high calibre teams and businesses in the execution and delivery of major, technologically innovative projects.
Andy’s career has developed from an indentured electrical apprentice with Crown House Engineering (Carillion) before joining Carillion’s ‘Accelerated Route to Management’ programme. This led him to his first leadership position as the Wales and West Business Leader in 2003. Since then Andy has gone on to lead many successful businesses and to date he has served on the boards of Crown House and Imtech.

In his new role Andy will be responsible for managing strategic relationship opportunities through to contract award. Andy’s extensive experience across healthcare, education, rail and energy with his expert knowledge of MMC and the role of lead integrator will further strengthen the business ambition to be leaders in our field’.
