FUTURE Designs has won a Gold award at the London Design Awards 2020, part of the Driven x Design Awards Program.
The win is for the innovative new product developed to eradicate 99% of bacteria FUZONE500 in the Product Design – Office category, as part of the Elevate Hope campaign. The Elevate Hope campaign encourages and helps designs to create products that will help develop a better future.
FUZONE500 uses the natural properties of ozone (O3) to eliminate up to 99% of bacteria both on surfaces and airborne. FUZONE500 uses A sealed ultraviolet light source operating at two different wavelengths to create Photolytic Oxidation, a combination of photolysis and ozonolysis.
FUZONE500 is also able to be fitted within the preexisting FUTURE Designs products. Furthermore, can be adapted to suit other installing lighting systems within commercial, educational, retail, healthcare, hospitality and residential sectors. Making this system adaptable to almost any lighting requirement.
Speaking on the product Mark Begin, Awards Chairman, said:
“This is going to be a huge trend. If you can design products that can give wellness benefits and sanitising of the air in a post COVID environment, you’ve got a great product.”
Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the way we live and interact with our surroundings. FUTURE Designs hopes that the FUZONE500 technology will make for safer returns to public buildings and workplaces.
