The Sussex-based trade directory, ‘Who’s Best’, has recognised its hard-working members in the first Who’s Best Awards. Their members, who are all local tradespeople based in Sussex, have been identified in categories including ‘member of the year’ and ‘community focused’ award.
The awards come after a particularly strenuous 18 months, where tradespeople, in particular, have faced challenging hurdles, with many fearing that they’re at risk of permanent closure. ‘Who’s Best’ felt obliged to acknowledge and appreciate their members and their continuous hard work for the local community. The directory pride themselves on supporting their local tradespeople and feel it’s necessary for them to consolidate and host a celebration after this tough period.
In doing so, they decided to nominate the directory members, who have shown a tremendous amount of dedication to their work and maintained their honourable reputation.

Nick Meldrum and Jon Dawson, the co-founders of ‘Who’s Best,’ released a joint statement, saying: “Since launching Who’s Best in early 2019, it’s been a huge success and has created an immense amount of opportunities for the local tradespeople of Sussex. When the pandemic hit, it had a detrimental effect on our members, but they have been able to adapt, change and respond to stay afloat. Community means a lot to both of us and the wider team at Who’s Best, and we couldn’t be more proud of our tradespeople, who have maintained their credible reputation when assisting the Sussex locals. Therefore, it was only necessary that we host an award ceremony to give back and show appreciation and gratitude for them.”
Congratulations to all of those businesses and entrepreneurs who have been recognised as finalists. We look forward to seeing the winners!
