Binnies welcomes new hire Michael Niven to develop asset management systems

Binnies is delighted to welcome Michael Niven to the company’s thriving asset management team in the post of senior asset management consultant.

Michael joins us after seven years with London-based asset management consultancy firm AMCL, where he worked across a range of industries to develop asset management systems. While at AMCL, he acted as the lead ISO 55001 accreditation assessor for the Environment Agency’s Thames Estuary Asset Management 2100 (TEAM 2100) project, a ten-year capital investment programme to refurbish and improve existing tidal flood defences across London.

Michael has a thorough understanding of the full asset management landscape and he is comfortable working at a senior and strategic level and with operational teams facing day-to-day challenges.

In his new role, Michael looks forward to working again with the Environment Agency. He will work collaboratively with the agency to develop its asset management and investment planning capability, using modern, innovative methods.

Michael said, “I work best when developing strong, collaborative relationships with clients that are built on a real appreciation and understanding of their challenges. I focus on ensuring that projects deliver on asset management needs and have the necessary support to bring benefits beyond the life of the project.”

Tim Gadd, Head of Strategic Advisory Services at Binnies, added, “We are really excited that Michael is joining our growing Asset Management Advisory Services team.

“He will be further developing our ISO 55001 assessment product line and will boost our asset management planning and data quality capability.

“Our team culture is one of collaboration and creativity, and Michael’s wealth of experience and ideas from different sectors will contribute to Binnies’ mission of supporting its clients for a better world,” he said.
