The Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS) is pleased to welcome ground improvement specialist Vibro Menard as its latest member.
Vibro Menard brings over 30 years of experience in the design and build of specialist ground improvement solutions to the FPS and this wealth of experience of working within the geotechnical industry, will be put to good use by the FPS as it continues to raise ever higher the standards of professionalism and safety. It will also help in creating the standards and guidance of the future.
Speaking about the new member, Steve Hadley, FPS Chair said: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Vibro Menard to the FPS. Their insight of the design and build of specialist ground improvement solutions in the UK, will greatly enhance the knowledge base of the FPS, as well as moving the FPS closer to truly representing the piling and associated industries.”
Steve added: “Construction faces many challenges ahead, not least becoming ever more sustainable, which the piling and geotechnical sectors have to work collectively to address. There is also the ever-present and growing skills shortage problem, which can only be tackled if we all work collaboratively and speak with one unified voice.”
The addition of new members also strengthens considerably the authority of the FPS and its mandate to lobby on issues such as health and safety, training and fair payment at both construction and government levels.
