Binnies secures place on Associated British Ports professional services framework

We are delighted to announce that Binnies has been awarded a place on the largest port and harbour engineering consultancy framework (across 21 locations) in England, Wales and Scotland for Associated British Ports (ABP). This new framework has been established to support ABP’s strategic pipeline of infrastructure projects for the next four years, with an option to extend by another two years.

Binnies is a leading port, harbour and maritime consultant, providing services globally under the RSK group umbrella. Part of our winning offer includes our ability to draw upon subject matter expertise and additional resources from across the 150 RSK group companies. This framework will allow Binnies and RSK’s engineers, scientists and other multidisciplinary professionals to work closely with ABP professionals to provide innovative technical solutions.

Within the framework, we will be delivering services under lot 2b Design and Engineering, and projects will include major infrastructure improvements to support an ambitious project portfolio as part of ABP’s growth strategy. This includes cruise terminals, berths, jetties and storage facilities.

Services to be provided will include building information modelling (BIM), CDM principal designer, design guardianship and assurances, civil engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, coastal engineering, environmental engineering, health and safety, fire safety, information and communication technology and site surveys.

Binnies Head of Maritime & Coastal and the Framework Director, Prasad Gunawardena, commented, “We are delighted to be a part of the UK’s largest port consultancy services framework alongside some of the most respected global consultancies. We feel confident that our track record of delivering large capital projects and small reactive maintenance schemes across a diverse range of sectors including ports, flood, coast and maritime and for national government agencies will provide ABP with the innovative and value engineered solutions it needs to enhance its asset base throughout the UK.”
