ZERO TAIL EXCAVATORS
ViO12-2A: (Operating Weight (OW) 1,240kg): On the lighter side of Yanmar CE’s 1-2 tonne spectrum is the ViO12-2A Zero Tail Excavator: a compact dynamo that redefines what is possible in tight spaces. With an OW of 1,240kg and a powerful 10.3 horsepower engine, the ViO12 ensures that its size doesn’t compromise performance. This is a true zero tail machine – when its undercarriage is extended (1,000mm), neither the counterweight nor the front part of the upper frame exceeds the width of the crawlers. This makes it safer, more versatile, and easy to use in confined areas. When retracted the undercarriage measures to just 830mm, reducing the width and further increasing manoeuvrability.
At the heart of this machine is a powerful diesel 3TNV70-WBVB engine with a 15.5 kW output and 3,600 rpm; while an efficient hydraulic system, with a maximum pressure of 210 bars and a 7.4-liter tank, complements its performance. Travel speeds up to 4 km/h and a rotation speed of 10 rpm, along with a digging force of 5.68 kN (arm) and 13.63 kN (bucket), make it a formidable tool for any agriculture, civil engineering, construction and landscaping task. ViO17 (OW 1,830kg): Yanmar CE’s ViO17 is a compact powerhouse that redefines versability and efficiency in the world of zero tail excavators. The unit stands out with its variable undercarriage, which can be narrowed to just 955mm and extended to 1,280mm, offering unparallelled stability and adaptability to different working conditions. As a zero-tail machine, the ViO17 is particularly a perfect choice when working in tight areas such as urban renewal, grading or landscaping. The machine’s upper frame slews within its track width, and is combined with a digging depth of 2,160 to 2,310 mm to allow you to fully bring you’re a-game to any task.
Under the hood you’ll find a 3TNV70-XBV diesel engine, delivering a net power of 10.1 kW and a gross power of 10.34 kW at 2200 rpm. The ViO17 further leads in power generation thanks to its innovative design, including its monobloc chassis for enhanced robustness, and three pumps to allow it to generate the most power of any comparable machine. Its design ensures a balance between size and performance, offering travel speeds of 2.1 to 4.3 km/h and a rotation speed of 9.5 rpm.
CONVENTIONAL TAIL EXCAVATORS
SV15VT (OW 1,595 – 1,685kg): Dependable, reliable and rental tough, the SV15VT delivers class-leading productivity in a highly compact package. Yanmar SV15VT conventional tail excavator represents a masterclass in compact construction machinery, blending high efficiency with a user-friendly design. Its operating weight stands at 1,595 kg (canopy) and 1685 kg (cabin), coupled with a transport weight of 1465 kg (canopy) and 1555 kg (cabin). The SV15VT is renowned for its durability and reliability, making it an ideal choice for challenging job sites where space is a premium.
Its design prioritises power and performance, featuring a 3TNV70-MBVA diesel engine, delivering a net power of 12.2 kW at 2600 rpm. SV17VT (OW 1,700 – 1,790 kg): The SV17VT is designed to offer efficiency, power, and adaptability in a compact package, with a narrow width of 980 – 1320 mm thanks to its extendable undercarriage. Despite its compact dimensions and lower weight classification – with an OW of 1,700 kg (canopy) / 1,790 kg (cabin) – the SV17VT packs a punch. Powered by a 3TNV70-PBVA diesel engine, it offers a net power of 11.3 kW at 2400 rpm and a gross power of 11.5 kW at the same rpm; striking a perfect balance between low fuel consumption and high productivity.
Perfect for trenching and landscaping work in tight urban areas or at residential properties, operators benefit from a short turning radius at the front and rear, combined with a wide boom swing amplitude to the left, and impressive digging depths of 2,470 – 2,620 mm. And the model boasts a transport weight of just 1,570kg/1,660kg (canopy/cabin), meaning it can be easily towed between work sites, along with buckets or a light work tool, on a standard 2.5 tonnes GVW trailer.
SV19VT (OW 1,880 – 1,970 kg): Yanmar CE’s SV19VT mini excavator, a robust and versatile machine, is engineered for speed, smoothness, power, and performance. Featuring an OW of 1,880 kg (canopy) or 1,970 kg (cabin), a narrow width of 9,80 – 1,320 mm, and digging forces of 11.4/16.7kN (short arm/ bucket), the dynamic machine is perfectly suited to earthmoving applications in tight urban job sites or residential properties.
Designed to excel, the SV19VT benefits from numerous features to optimize productivity and guarantee a low total cost of ownership. From the upper positioning of the boom cylinder and hydraulic hoses routed inside the boom itself, to bucket/arm cylinder guards fitted as standard, operators are guaranteed class-leading protection to minimize unnecessary downtime. And with its a 3TNV76-QBVA diesel engine that provides a net power of 13.1 kW at 2100 rpm, along with class-leading in-cab technologies, the unit enhances operator productivity while ensuring economical fuel consumption and long service life.
