This year’s Surface Design Show brought a range of exhibitors from across the world, gathering under one roof to connect and converse over the best in class within surfaces and finishes. A particular highlight of this year’s hugely successful show was the presence of representatives of The Aegean Natural Stones & Minerals Exporters’ Association.
The EMIB brought a delegation of 11 Turkish natural stone businesses to the show, with a history of 4,000 years of marble production, Türkiye is one of the oldest marble producers globally, offering a diverse range of colours and textures. EMIB specialises in natural stones, metallic and industrial minerals as well as ferroalloys and other mining products.
The EMIB’s stand at the show was comprised of a collection of plinths featuring an exclusive glimpse into their materials and gave an insight into what each and every company had to offer the UK market. Visitors were able to observe various types of marble, testing the texture, look and quality of each piece, with every member of the delegation educating and sharing
their extensive materials and manufacturing knowledge with both visitors and other exhibitors.
“It was great to meet London’s Architects and Designers, it was the first time we had been to the show, and it was a really good opportunity to build new connections.” commented Barış Öztürk, Director.

Established in 2002 by mining engineer Kemal Tan and his spouse Fatma Tan, Blocks Ltd. is a well-known and trustworthy company. The roots of the company date back to Kemal Tan’s 40 years experience in the field of natural stone.
Thanks to its strong connections with many quarry owners, Blocks Ltd. can provide any kind of natural stone (marble, onyx, travertine, etc.) blocks from the Turkish quarries.
