Saracen Interiors is starting the New Year with a forward order book that is bulging with new business. With a high percentage of its contracts – traditionally 70 per cent – coming from repeat business, the workplace interiors consultant has announced that it has increased its orders from new clients up to three times when compared to figures collated at the end of 2014.
The company has also announced a rise in turnover by 10 per cent with average project values increasing by over 30 per cent. Joint managing director of Saracen Interiors, Michael Page is delighted with the company’s progress in the last 12 months: “We celebrated a big anniversary last year, thirty years on from Saracen’s inception, and we have exceeded all expectation in recent years with the successful launch of three service divisions – Saracen Facilities, Saracen Small Works and Saracen Move Management – and the strengthening of our presence as a national concern.
“This year, we intend to continue to grow our geographical spread and build on the foundations we have laid in these areas. We have plans to open more offices as we continue to improve our portfolios in regions such as the North West where we are establishing key partnerships. We are also hopeful about exploring new territory and will be considering some high end residential projects later this year as we now have the right team on board, with the experience and skills to allow us to navigate this sector.”
Saracen was awarded several key projects in the last 12 months. Amongst the most prestigious of its multi-million pound contracts was the design and fit out of Vintners Place on the bank of the River Thames for Tata Communications. The company was awarded the contract on the strength of its design which reflected the client’s vision of a mobile and flexible working environment that encourages innovation through collaboration.
Mike is pleased that Saracen is now winning contracts on the strength of its design excellence: “We have worked extremely hard to be recognised at this level and, although we have won significant industry awards for our design work, it’s nice to be awarded major projects on the basis of our design offering.”
Over the past decade, Saracen’s status has gradually changed from a South East fit out concern to a national full service enterprise. Its number of staff has grown along with its turnover and the company continues to invest in local apprentices, training initiatives and industry-specific innovations such as BIM.
Saracen’s recent clients include Coca-Cola Enterprises, CH2M Hill, YUM Restaurants, Tata Communications, TE Connectivity, Loma Systems, Gray’s Inn Chambers, Libra Group, Creature of London, Aspect Property Group, First Property Group, Audatex, Athena Partners, Motofix, Flight Safety, Countrywide PLC, Knight Frank, Mitie Engineering, Pizza Hut, Redrow Homes, Thames Water, Toshiba, TAG Aviation, Viatel, BAE Systems, Sue Ryder Care, North Surrey Primary Care Trust, Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospital NHS Trust.
