RGB launches charity Christmas Present Appeal @RGBArchie

RGB Building Supplies is asking customers to donate gifts, no matter how big or small, to its Christmas Present Appeal in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.

Between Monday 14th November and Monday 12th December, a gift suitable for a child of any age or their parents can be placed under the Christmas tree in any RGB branch.  At the end of the appeal, Children’s Hospice South West will distribute the presents to the children and families they support, in time to be enjoyed over the festive period.

The hospice provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West. The care offered ranges from respite and short breaks, to emergency and end of life care.

Naomi Dymond, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West, commented:

“We cannot thank RGB Building Supplies enough for choosing to support CHSW in such a wonderful way this Christmas. The donations received from customers and staff will help to make this special time as memorable as possible.

“During the year, our children and families need very special care and Christmas is one such occasion. Many parents feel overwhelmed by the competing demands they are juggling at this time – the round the clock needs of their child, the anticipation of brothers and sisters and the challenge of preparing all the festive fare. This is why our hospices remain open throughout the year – so we can be there for families, whenever they need us, to provide much needed support.”

John Mounce, RGB Bideford Branch Manager, added:

“Children’s Hospice South West provides incredible care to children and their families across the region and we’re delighted to be supporting them with our Christmas Present Appeal. The presents can range from a toy for a younger child or a DVD for an older child, to something small for parents so that all members of a family who are spending the Christmas period at the hospice will receive a gift. I’m confident that our customers and the local community will get behind our appeal and, in advance, I would like to thank everyone for their donations.”

There is no minimum criterion for gifts, all will be gratefully received.  RGB asks that presents are donated unwrapped to ensure they are age appropriate for the recipients.
