Seddon, the UK’s largest privately-owned contractor, is celebrating 80 years of apprenticeships this National Apprenticeship Week 2018 (5 – 9 March), having taken on 3,050 apprentices since its programme first began in the 1930s.
The company currently employs 75 trainees across the North West, investing £500k training and development each year.
Many of Seddon’s employees in the North West are successful graduates of its apprenticeship programmes with 97 per cent of apprentices remaining with the company after their three and a half year course has finished.

Seddon is now recruiting eight apprentices for roles based at the company’s sites throughout the North West across the following specialisms:
• Electrics
• Painting and decorating
• Plastering
• Plumbing
• Trainee Construction Technician
Applications open on the 5th March until 27th April and anyone aged 16 and over can apply. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take part in a three-stage recruitment process and the chosen apprentices will start their apprenticeship on the 23rd July.
