Osmo UK, the eco-friendly wood and finishes expert has extended its exterior wood finishes range with the introduction of Cedar UV-Protection-Oil. The finish has been specially designed to protect the wood and provide a warm golden brown cedar tone, a look which is sought after by many.
Protection of exterior wood is of the utmost importance as it can fade if untreated due to the extreme weather conditions. Cedar UV-Protection-Oil delays the greying process by shielding the wood against harmful UV rays, and algae and fungal decay. At the same time, the appearance of the wood plays an important role. Come the summer months when end users begin venturing outside, they want the summer houses, cladding and fencing looking in top condition. Not only does Cedar UV-Protection-Oil rejuvenate tired looking wood, but it provides an attractive Cedar finish.
“The golden tones of Cedar UV-Protection-Oil brings warmth to exterior wood and creates an inviting outdoor area” comments Steve Grimwood, Managing Director of Osmo UK. “After a winter of harsh British weather, which will have affected the appearance of exterior wood, Osmo Cedar UV-Protection-Oil offers the perfect solution to rejuvenating the wood in your garden. Two coats of Osmo Cedar-UV-Protection Oil will provide that warm golden tone to your garden in preparation for the summer months.”
Based on natural vegetable oils, Cedar UV-Protection-Oil penetrates deep into the wood ensuring that it remains elastic and healthy. Particularly suitable for cladding, garden houses, fences, windows and doors, it provides a satin-matt, finish that not only protects the wood surface it can also enhance the natural look of the cedar. The finish prevents the wood from drying out and becoming brittle, ensuring it does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Cedar UV-Protection-Oil has a UV-Protection factor of 12 which protects the wood whilst allowing the woods natural characteristics to remain.
