AJC Trailers, the Luton based manufacturer of the EasyCabin range of mobile and static welfare units, have launched a brand new mobile accommodation unit that is designed to provide high quality living and sleeping conditions for site staff working on events, shows and construction sites.
Entitled the ew3a Mobile Accommodation Trailer, this advanced sleeper unit has been built to exacting standards and is designed for quick transportation on both long and short term projects.
The ew3a can be configured to provide 2 or 4 berth living quarters with a spacious kitchen and living area. Both the living area and bedrooms have comfortable carpeting and illuminated by energy saving LED lights. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern cooking facilities, including a microwave oven, together with four gas powered hobs and an oven. Power can be supplied from standard mains, or a gas generator, wired though a standard consumer unit, which is supplied with an electrical certificate.
A number of options are made available including; bespoke layouts, external lighting, built-in waste tank and with fork pockets or lifting eyes for long-term static use.
The complete unit has been designed to be economical to maintain, compliant with all HSE regulations, and is EC Whole Vehicle Type Approved. The ew3a has been manufactured to withstand the demands of the hire industry
“Our research has indicated that with the rising costs for hotel and B & B accommodation, along with travelling expenses for site workers, construction firms and event managers are increasingly seeking alternative ways to provide comfortable, locally sited, domiciles for their site workers,” explained Lisa Gillett, AJC’s sales director. “Our ew3a is ideally suited to give these types of workers a ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere, quickly transported to site at an economical price,” added Lisa.
The company also has advanced plans to build an 8-berth HGV trailer.
AJC have been manufacturing mobile units since 1964, and have just celebrated their fifty years trading. Over this time they have outgrown several production facilities, until finally settling their headquarters in a modern 32,000 sq ft plant. The company remains a family concern, keeping a hands-on approach to all management routines, with innovation as the key word in all procedures.
