SARACEN RAISES ‘THE BAR’ FOR GRAY’S INN

Leading workplace consultant, Saracen Interiors continues to make its mark in London having completed fit out and refurbiishment work at the barristers’ Chambers at Gray’s Inn Square.

A listed building,  containing a practice used by between 60 and 70 barristers on a ‘hot desking’ basis, Saracen’s main priority was to accommodate working individuals during the three month project, which was completed earlier this month.

Work included minor alterations, general refurbishment and electrical installation over two floors. Bespoke furniture and storage systems were sourced and fitted, the latter addressing the need for security given the sensitivity of the documents handled in Chambers.

Saracen’s Move Management division played a key role in the project supplying and moving up to 90 crates to free up space for the alterations. Joint managing director of Saracen Interiors, Michael Page comments: “It’s good to have various Saracen divisions working in tandem as it demonstrates to the clients that all their office space needs can be met by a single source, with teams working in support of each other so that there are no gaps in communication and little margin for error.

“We’ve built a portfolio of general refurbishment projects in the City of London over the last 12 months. A lot of the work has been for investment banks and various other finance establishments so it’s good to exercise our expertise across other professional services, especially when the address is as prestigious as 1 Gray’s Inn Square.”

Senior clerk at Gray’s Inn Square, Matthew Wildish is pleased with the level of

support he has received from the project manager at Saracen and looks forward

to working with the team again: “The team at Saracen worked hard to accommodate our barristers and to ensure that each working day went largely undisturbed. Problems were anticipated and ironed out in advance and the project ran smoothly with an outstanding result at the point of final handover. It’s been a pleasure working with a team of such dedicated, expert professionals.”

Over the last decade, Saracen has built a strong reputation with London-based clients, working across a wide range of commercial projects from multi-million fit outs to facilities management contracts and the negotiation of office moves. The company has a proven track record in improving workplace efficiency and corporate standing with its tailor-made, cost-effective solutions.  Saracen Small Works, Saracen Facilities Management and Saracen Office Moves were launched in 2013 to provide clients with a full and complete service encompassing all aspects of office interiors’ services from space planning through to move management.
