Westhill Community Church in Aberdeen was a greenfield project of contemporary style with a design for maximum functionality and to encourage wider community use. 33 FAKRO roof windows flood the altar, sanctuary, foyer and offices with natural light. Products included FTP-V U3 Electro windows with rain sensor, EFW flat roof windows and an FAKSV17 Smoke Vent window.
Project Architect Mark Dysart of McLean Architects commented, “We specified Fakro products because of the excellent technical support and the option to specify matching zinc flashings. These were crucial to achieve a fully coordinated appearance”.
