A new, easy-to-use app delivering 90 years of roofing installation, compliance and specification expertise to the fingertips of specifiers has been made available as a free download on Google Play, Amazon and iTunes by the UK’s leading roofing systems manufacturer, Marley Eternit.
Developed to help bridge the current skills gap and check and challenge site installations, the Sitework app features automatically updated information on installation for fitting Marley Eternit’s extensive range of tiles, slates, dry fix and ventilation systems to the latest BS 5534 requirements as well as storage instructions, safety requirements and information on the full range of products. Added to this, it automatically updates with the latest regulations to enable users to stay up-to-date with industry changes.
Gavin White, product manager at Marley Eternit, says: “The app is designed to provide useful information at the fingertips of specifiers who may not specialise particularly in roofing.

The Sitework app, which also comes in a printed guide, has been designed to be readily accessible for a younger generation of specifiers. Animations show how a product integrates with the roof system as a whole and includes a zoom functionality to see images or technical information in closer detail. The app’s user-friendly interface enables visual navigation by both product and area of the roof, to easily find the advice needed.
