The South Molton branch of RGB Building Supplies is delighted to donate £1,000 to Children’s Hospice South West. The money was raised during the branch’s annual trip to Exeter Racecourse with customers on Tuesday 1st November.
RGB South Molton Branch Manager Violet Hancock was given a donation from each customer and asked to back any horse. Thanks to Caulfields Venture romping home in the 3.20pm race, £960 was raised, with customers adding in extra to bring the total to £1,000.
Violet Hancock commented:
“Every year we take a group of our customers to Exeter Racecourse to thank them for their custom and every year they ask me to back a horse to raise money for charity. There was a lot of cheering when Caulfields Venture won the race and we’re delighted to donate the money to Children’s Hospice South West who do fantastic work with children and their families across the region.”
