From 7-9 February, Stone Gallery will be hosted within the Surface Design Show 2017 at the Business Design Centre in London.
Since 2005 Surface Design Show has been the only event in the UK that focuses solely on interior and exterior surfaces, connecting innovative and exciting materials with a specifying audience of architects and designers. Debuting at last years show, the Stone Gallery reflects the rapidly growing stone market in the UK and the important relationship between stone and surface design.
Officially supported by Stone Federation GB, Stone Gallery 2017 has attracted exhibitors from Europe and beyond all showcasing the best stone products that the industry has to offer.
The Stone Gallery is situated on the gallery level at Surface Design Show and exhibitors include Skarlis Marble, Building Adhesives, Marmoles Serrat, Consorio Pimar, Fontanili Marble UK and ZClad. UK exhibitors include Lovell Stone who are a family run business delivering high-quality British stone products, their bespoke service offers a variety of surface finishes including honed, polished, bush hammered, flame textured and tumbled. Whilst Fontanili Marble has over 80 years’ experience within the stone business, supplying architects and designers with the finest marble from Carrara in Italy. Fontanili Marble UK, will be launching their new unique material; Palissandro Fiorito book-match floor. Whilst exhibitor ZClad will be offering a range of stylish natural stone products. Their cladding system is designed to create a stylish veneer for either contemporary or traditional design. The modular z-shaped panels give a seamless finish for straight walling and cornering making it virtually impossible to detect.
A range of talks and debates will take place on Thursday 9th February in the Stone Hub. Robert Merry hosts ‘Stone Me’ – The advantages of using a stone professional when specifying interior stone finishes. The Essential Guide to substrate preparation and stone installation is presented by Steve Turner from Amarestone whilst Martin Ballard from Fila UK looks at sealing natural stone surfaces: options and outcomes.
The Stone Gallery is just one part of Surface Design Show which has over 170 exhibitors showcasing the newest innovations in surface design for interior and exterior surfaces. For over 10 years the show has been the hot spot for industry people to immerse themselves in the latest materials for the built environment, gain new insights and network with like-minded designers, architects and suppliers.
