Klober Permo® therm is a Kooltherm insulation board with tongue and groove edges, integrated reflective, vapour permeable underlay and self-adhesive edge strips to seal laps. Suitable for either new build or refurbishment work, it can be used at any pitch and has LABC approval. Unlike square-edged boards, however, Permo therm does not provide air leakage paths or thermal bridges and so is ideal for use in airtight roof designs. Used in conjunction with Thermo-Line sealants and tapes the entire roof can be made fully airtight.
Permo therm is installed above the rafters and not only provides added height within the roof space but removes the need for separate installation of underlay. Boards can be laid either from left to right or right to left with no ventilation of the batten/counter-batten cavity needed other than where impervious or tight-fitting roof coverings are used. From an environmental perspective it is also CFC and HCFC-free.
