Ridgeons Celebrates Suppliers At 10th Anniversary Awards
Ridgeons, the East of England’s largest independent Timber and Builders Merchants, held their 10th Annual Supplier of the Year Awards at Quy Mill in Cambridge. The Awards celebrate the commitment and service each of the suppliers offer the business and were attended by Ridgeons Chief Executive, Ian Northen and Head of Operations, Richard Gray as well as key Ridgeons staff and winning suppliers.
Award categories included Hardware and Decorating, Heavyside, Lightside, Timber and Sheets, Supplier Sales Representative of the Year, Commercial Team and Overall Supplier of the Year. Winners are listed below.

Award Winners:
Ridgeons Overall Supplier of the Year – Lignacite Blocks 
Hardware and Decorating – Akzo Nobel
Akzo Nobel is Ridgeons’ largest supplier of paints and other decorative coatings. The company manufactures well-known brands such as Dulux, Cuprinol, Polycell, Hammerite, Glidden and Sikkens.
Lightside winner – Ceramic Tiles
Ceramic Tiles are based in Ipswich, Suffolk and are Ridgeons’ largest supplier of Ceramic Tiles and Tile products.
Heavyside winner – Lignacite Blocks
Lignacite are an independent family owned business with block manufacturing facilities in Brandon and Nazing.
Timber & Sheets winner – Meyer Timber Ltd
Meyer Timber Ltd have been supplying principal sheet material to Ridgeons for over fifteen years.
Supplier Sales Representative of the year – Kevin Edwards – Marshalls & Stonemarket
Kevin has worked for Stonemarket for almost four years and has also forged some great working relationships with Ridgeons’ branches.
Commercial team winner – Ecotherm
Ecotherm are Ridgeons’ preferred supplier of PIR Ridged Insulation. Their support has helped Ridgeons to win and retain some large contracts and develop the product area.
