Crestron, the luxury interior technology specialist, will be taking part in this spring’s London Design Week, which returns to the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour to bring design enthusiasts the latest creative trends. Based around the theme of ‘Legends’, LDW will present original collaborations between designers and tastemakers, to celebrate a new spirit of individuality to inspire excellence in design.

In-keeping with the theme of ‘Legends’, Crestron will be holding an intuitive talk with Poltrona Frau front man Tristan Forrest on Monday 5th March. Held at its stunning showroom, located on the 2nd Floor of the South Dome, the luxurious and stylish surroundings provide the perfect backdrop to discuss the future of home technology and how furniture and interior design could be influenced by lifestyle technology and how this affects the client’s expectations. Following the discussion, guests will be treated to a ‘create your own gin cocktail’ masterclass, by specialists from renowned gin bar and restaurant No. 97. Become a ‘Legend’ in your own right by creating a masterpiece in the form of your very own signature cocktail.

On Wednesday 7th March, the Crestron showroom will be the perfect setting for a Women in Av Event (WAVE). In keeping with the theme of ‘Legends’, we will be celebrating International Women’s Day by getting some ‘leGINdary’ women in the Av industry and Interior Design Community together for an afternoon of gin tasting. On Thursday 8th March, BIID President Charles Leon invites BIID designer members to join him for breakfast between 8.30am and 10.30am at the Crestron showroom. The event is a great opportunity for interior professionals to meet the President, network with other members and discuss topics that affect the day to day management of running a design practice. This is the first session in a series of breakfast networking events entitled ‘Let’s Talk Software’, looking at software packages and the benefits and pitfalls of the software tools currently used within the industry. Also on 8th March, Crestron will be hosting an inspirational LDW 2018 CPD course entitled ‘Integrating Technology into Residential Design’ at its 2nd floor showroom.
