Developers, designers, agents and property clients across the UK and Ireland are set to benefit from new advice on the highly complex issues of Rights to Light, thanks to a new division being set up by Trident Building Consultancy.
Trident, which this week was highly commended in the Professional Agency Team of the Year category of the Property Week awards, has recruited Daniel Wade as director to head up the division which will cover Rights of Light as well as Daylight, Sunlight and Overshadowing.
Daniel joins from Delva Patman Redler LLP where he was a partner and manager of CAD Team overseeing these areas of technical expertise.
While Daniel will be based at Trident’s London City Office, the service will be available nationwide and the team is set to expand over the coming year.
Daniel Wade says:
“These areas of building consultancy can be emotive and contentious, affecting both commercial and residential property and impacting on all aspects of property development and maintenance, from viability and planning through to occupation.
“The legal and regulatory frameworks are complex and the potential for compensation payments or injunctions significant. Expert advice can significantly reduce risk for developers and others, and therefore the cost.”
The combination of Trident’s new service lines will ensure that all neighbourly matters can be dealt with seamlessly.
The provision of user-friendly 3D models (interactive digital 3D PDF or 3D printed physical models) will also help to provide clients with a straightforward yet comprehensive understanding of these complex issues. To this end, Trident complements its specialist advice with the use of a range of technical tools including AutoCAD 2018, MBS WALDRAM TOOLS v4, Revit 2018, Sketchup 2018.
Commenting on the new division, Trevor Dowd, a founding director of Trident commented,
“At Trident we seek to offer a breadth of service across a wide range of sectors and across the country. At the same time, we pride ourselves on our joined-up approach and national coverage. Following Daniel’s appointment, we intend to provide this service across the country and in association with our increasing expertise in emerging technologies.”
