ACO Building + Landscape has launched a new visualiser tool, to help domestic contractors and homeowners envisage gratings with a range of surface finishes – ensuring they select the best product to complement their patio, driveway or threshold setting.

Offering added support during the design stage, the Visualiser encourages users to look beyond the commodity channels and standard gratings widely available, and instead discover how a more aesthetic drainage solution can help enhance a project.

With many grating styles and finishes now available to complement a range of domestic landscape projects, ACO’s Visualiser will make it easier for contractors to work with homeowners, trialling different designs and bring their project to life before point of sale. The Visualiser reflects wider paving market trends and incorporates all the latest drainage systems by ACO – catering for a variety of domestic landscaped areas such as patios, driveways and both garage and doorway thresholds.

Housed on the ACO website, the software is easy to use and provides useful design filters for contactors which helps to ensure the correct product and appropriate load class is specified for each application. Once the user has selected a product they are happy with, they can download a specification sheet which can be taken to their local builder’s merchant.

Phil Windus, Market Manger – Building + Landscape, comments: “Garden and landscape design has always been an important aspect of our business and we believe that drainage can play a hugely important role in the overall look and feel of a domestic project, as little consideration has typically been given for the style and surface finish of the grating.

“We want to encourage people to see for themselves how different drainage solutions can really enhance a domestic landscape project – and we hope the Visualiser will do just that. It’s often difficult to imagine the impact drainage can have on a project, unless you can physically see it, but with the Visualiser homeowners and installers will be able to test and trial different products at the click of a button, to see how they complement a specific application. The Visualiser aims to bring ideas to life and help users make more informed decisions and ultimately, be more creative with drainage.”
