This week, joint venture partners Lend Lease and LCR celebrated the topping out of the East Tower at Glasshouse Gardens, a 17 storey residential building at the gateway to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The milestone event marks the new tower reaching the highest point of structural works during construction.
Construction began in July 2014 and 113 apartments are due for completion in Autumn 2016. The adjacent West Tower at Glasshouse Gardens – which at 30 stories is twice as tall – is on track to deliver 221 apartments by Summer 2017. Both buildings will offer residents uninterrupted views of London’s skyline.
24 apartments remain for sale at Glasshouse Gardens with 1 beds in the West Tower ranging from £415,000 (2nd floor) to £478,000 (23rd floor) and 2 bed apartments in the East Tower ranging from £565,000 (8th floor) to £595,000 (14th floor).
Ian Crockford, Lendlease Project Director, said: “This is a pivotal milestone in our delivery of this new residential and commercial quarter, and provides a glimpse of the spectacular panoramic views across the Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and City. Glasshouse Gardens will offer residents a unique opportunity to live amongst, and make use of, some of the world’s greatest sporting facilities. This ceremony marks an exciting step forward in the creation of London’s newest and most progressive business district, The International Quarter, and a major new employment hub in East London, which will generate more than 25,000 jobs in total.”
