All things BIM and more at BIM Show Live 2017 @BIMShowLive

BIM Show Live 2017 has released its content programme for the show.  Through a call for papers process, industry experts from across the globe were invited to pitch their ideas to secure one of the sought after seminar slots, and after receiving a record number of entries, it has finally chosen the speakers for the 32 seminars.

With four seminar streams; Data, Stories, Next Generation and Strategy, a diverse mix of speakers will take to the stage to engage, educate and entertain over the two days, on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 February 2017.

After taking a year out to re-structure the show and take it back to its roots, the 2017 show will be travelling north and taking place in Newcastle upon Tyne, a northern powerhouse for manufacturing and engineering.

Following tradition, BIM Show Live will be opened by David Philp, Global BIM/IM Consultancy Director at AECOM and Chair of the Scottish BIM Delivery Group who will set the scene for digital construction, forward thinking and what will be the key take-aways from the show.

David said: “To secure the future of construction in the UK we need to actively encourage innovation and the continued use of digital construction methods. Building Information Modeling (BIM) allows us to streamline processes to bring about changes in productivity and performance through the use of open data and collaboration.  david-philp

“BIM Show Live provides a unrivalled platform for information sharing and we are incredibly fortunate to be able to hear from an exceptionally talented group of individuals presenting at next years’ show.  The line-up reflects the growth our industry has enjoyed in recent years despite global economic set-backs, providing evidence that BIM in construction truly does work and our aims for the future are achievable.”

The seminar sessions will feature case studies from Sainsbury’s, Capita, BDP and AECOM, all leading international firms with success stories to share on their BIM implementation.

Digital master builders and architectural practices, David Miller Architects, Grimshaw, Metz Architects and Swedish based White Arkitekter also present on projects, new design technologies and the benefits both they and their clients enjoy from working in the BIM environment. branding

Technology experts and data pioneers BIM Technologies, coBuilder, NBS and Autodesk share insights on how the industry is transitioning into augmented construction methods and how artificial intelligence has the potential to redefine every aspect of the design and build process.

BIM Show Live will deliver content for all industry sectors from manufacturing, design, engineering, building and so much more. The demand on the industry to create a digitally built Britain drives the need to share knowledge, insight and practical experiences so that this future is made possible, starting today.
