Origin Wins Recognition at Prestigious EEF Future Manufacturing Awards @Originbifolds

Origin, the leading British manufacturer of bespoke aluminium bi-fold and residential doors and windows, has won The Business Growth Award at this year’s prestigious EEF Future Manufacturing Awards – South East.

With British manufacturing going from strength to strength, Origin was able to fend off some stiff competition, impressing the judges with its dynamic business expansion through a consistent growth strategy.

Neil Ginger, CEO at Origin, comments: “We are honoured to be recognised at this year’s EEF Manufacturing Awards and are delighted that our dedication to constantly improve our business has been recognised. The vision for Origin is simple, manufacture top quality products with uncompromising levels of service. This is something we have done from day one, and we have grown exponentially based on it. Every member of the Origin family, including our 600 partners up and down the country, has been essential in delivering our growth plans and ensuring we go from strength-to-strength.”

Origin’s substantial investment in supporting its growth plans over the last 12 months, which includes its expansion into a new 20,000 sq.ft headquarters for its increasing workforce and brand-new showroom, was highlighted as a key factor in its success. With more than 74 new employees being taken on since the beginning of 2017, Origin now has a total workforce of 290, making it clear to see how fast the company is growing. The impressive expansion is not just UK based, but in both Dubai and the US too, establishing Origin as a leading global brand.

Innovation also plays a key role in Origin’s success, with the judging panel identifying the launch of its Residential Door as a major factor in its effective award entry. This kind of product innovation, coupled with its unrivalled service and sales support, has allowed the company to widen its national network of partners. This has been integral to Origin’s business growth.

Finally, the judges acknowledged the lengths that Origin has gone to in order to future-proof the business. It is continuously updating its systems, operations and processes, increasing efficiency and creating a deeper understanding of its partners. By designing a bespoke online quoting and ordering system for its partners (Origin Sale Safe – OSS), it improves the efficiency and speed of ordering. Instead of creating individual orders, users can build customer projects, so all quotes and orders for the one customer are in the same place.

Ginger concludes: “We are thrilled to be this year’s winner and we now have our sights firmly set on the National EEF Awards in January. We are confident that we can go one step further and bring home the title.”
